How to play Word Sketch
Make words on a 15×15 hand-drawn board from your 7 letter tiles. All tiles of a move go in one row or column and must touch the words already on the board; the first word covers the star in the middle. Tap a tile and then a square, or drag it; tap a placed tile to take it back. A blank tile can be any letter and scores 0.
Press Play and every new word – including words formed across – is checked in the dictionary of the language you chose. A word that does not exist costs one of your 3 lives and the tiles go back to your rack.
Points: the letter values printed on the tiles. 2L/3L squares multiply a letter, 2W/3W squares the whole word. Using all 7 tiles in one move gives +50.
Solo: play until the bag and your rack are empty, until you lose all lives, or press Finish. You can swap tiles 3 times. Online: create a room, send the code or link to 2–3 friends and play in turns with 2 minutes per move. Running out of lives takes a player out; the game ends when the tiles run out or everyone passes twice. The room is deleted 24 hours after the last activity.
