How to play Plumb
Plumb is a tower game for architects. A tower crane brings storey after storey – you decide when to release it.
Controls
- Phone: tap anywhere to release the storey.
- Computer: click, or press the space bar.
Rules
- The storey swings on the rope and drops straight down when released.
- Release it when the rope hangs vertically right over the storey below – a plumb drop gives 2 points instead of 1.
- A storey that misses the one below by more than about half its width falls off, and the tower collapses.
- The triangle under the foundation shows the centre of gravity of the whole tower. If it leaves the foundation, the tower collapses too. Correct a lean by shifting the next storeys the other way.
Getting harder
The swing gets wider and faster with height. From the fifth storey the wind moves the crane sideways, so the vertical rope is no longer over the tower – you have to time it. The starting speed adapts to how well you play.
Pause and ads
Use the pause button at the top during a run. After a good run you can watch an optional video once: the last storey is removed and you keep building. Sometimes a short ad appears between runs, never during play.
