2. What data we process, why and on what legal basis
- Game progress, scores and settings are stored only in your browser (localStorage and sessionStorage). They are not sent to our servers and we have no access to them. See the Cookie Policy.
- Technical connection data (IP address, browser and device information, request time) is processed by our hosting and network provider, Cloudflare, Inc., to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and securing the Service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Visit statistics (page visited, country, device and browser type, referring page, load time) are collected by Cloudflare, Inc. through Cloudflare Web Analytics – without cookies and without storing anything on your device. We only see aggregate data that cannot identify you. The games also send anonymous gameplay counters (e.g. run start and end, run length, button use); we keep them in our Cloudflare account only as daily totals, without identifiers, cookies or IP addresses. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the Service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Advertising data (cookie and device identifiers, IP address, ad interactions) is processed by Google Ireland Limited through Google AdSense to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud. Personalised ads, and storing or reading information on your device for that purpose, happen only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 399 of the Polish Electronic Communications Law). Google acts as an independent controller for this: how Google uses information from partner sites.
- Online games (Word Sketch / Literki, Tiny Architects / Mikroarchitekci) – if you create or join an online room, we process the nickname you enter, a random player token and the game state (e.g. letters, moves, terrain, positions, scores) in Cloudflare Durable Objects, so the game can be played between players. Other players in the room see your nickname and moves. We do not store your IP address or any other identifier with it. The room is deleted 24 hours after the last activity. Legal basis: performance of the service you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Do not use your full name or other personal data as a nickname.
- Correspondence and complaints (e-mail or postal address, message content) to reply and handle complaints. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in corresponding (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and performance of the service contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
3. Recipients
Cloudflare, Inc. (hosting and content delivery), Google Ireland Limited and – if you consent – the advertising partners listed in the consent window, our e-mail provider, and authorities entitled by law.
4. Transfers outside the EEA
Cloudflare and Google may transfer data to the United States, based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (for certified companies) or on standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission.
5. Retention
- Data in your browser – until you delete it (e.g. by clearing browser data).
- Technical data – for the period in Cloudflare’s rules for security logs.
- Advertising data – until you withdraw consent or for the period described in Google’s policies.
- Online rooms (nickname and game state) – 24 hours after the last activity in the room.
- Correspondence – until the matter is closed, then until any claims become time-barred.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time via “Cookie settings”, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. You can lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa), or with the authority in your country.
7. Voluntary nature
Using the Service and consenting to personalised ads are voluntary. Without consent the games still work and you see non-personalised or limited ads.
8. Automated decisions and profiling
We make no decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal effects for you. Game difficulty is adjusted locally in your browser. Google may profile data for personalised ads only with your consent.
9. Children
The games are not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Changes
We will announce changes to this policy in the Service. The current version is always on this page.
